Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (hereinafter "these Terms") are established by tourcandy K.K. (hereinafter "the Company") and apply to the booking and payment platform "tastetrip" operated by the Company (including the website, mobile applications, email, telephone, and other channels, collectively "the Service"). By using the Service, the user is deemed to have read and agreed to these Terms.

Article 1 · Definitions

"User" means any natural person or legal entity making a booking or payment through the Service. "Merchant" means a local Japanese business that has entered into a partnership agreement with the Company and accepts bookings from users through the Service. "Reservation Number" means the unique number generated by the system for each booking. "Visit Voucher" means the electronic confirmation issued by the Service after a booking is confirmed, containing merchant name, date and time, number of guests, and package details.

Article 2 · Service Content

The Service is available to both domestic and international customers, offering bookings and payments for the following five categories of services in Japan: • Dining (Michelin, wagyu, ryotei, sushi, hotpot, yakiniku, izakaya, etc.) • Beauty (head spa, spa, massage, nail, wellness, medical beauty, etc.) • Cultural Experiences (kimono, tea ceremony, maiko, gold leaf, handcrafts, etc.) • Outdoor Activities (snorkeling, paragliding, yakatabune cruises, skiing, etc.) • Transportation (airport transfers, chartered cars, buses, etc.) The Service supports interfaces and customer support in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, and Japanese.

Article 3 · Booking and Payment

Users may place orders without registering an account. At checkout, users must provide contact information (name, email, phone, etc.) and payment details. The system generates a Reservation Number and emails it to the user. With this Reservation Number and the email used to place the order, the user may view, modify, or cancel the booking via the "Reservation Lookup" page. Displayed prices include Japanese consumption tax (10%). For a small number of high-end venues, a merchant-collected booking service fee may be included; this fee is already included in the displayed price. All transactions are settled in Japanese Yen (JPY). The Service displays a reference amount in the user's interface language; the actual amount charged is determined by the exchange rate of the user's bank or payment provider at the time of payment. Supported payment methods: • Credit / Debit Cards (VISA, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Diners Club, Discover) • WeChat Pay • Alipay (including Huabei)

Article 4 · Secondary Confirmation

After the user completes booking and payment, the reservation enters the "Secondary Confirmation" process: the Company confirms with the merchant whether the reservation can be accommodated. Until the merchant's final confirmation, the reservation remains in "Pending Confirmation" status. The Company will notify the user of the result by email, typically within 24 hours. If the merchant cannot accommodate the reservation, the Company will refund the payment in full via the original payment method, with no fees charged.

Article 5 · Modifications and Cancellations

Modifications and cancellations of reservations are governed by the "Cancellation Policy" published on each respective product page.

Article 6 · Rules for Visit and Use

Users must strictly adhere to the reserved time. If a user arrives more than 15 minutes late, the merchant reserves the right to decline service depending on the day's operations. The actual number of attendees must match the booking. For any changes, please contact customer service in advance. Users must follow all merchant rules, including but not limited to: • Dress codes (certain upscale and Michelin-starred restaurants enforce attire requirements); • No-smoking, no-photography, and no-livestreaming rules; • Quietness and etiquette; • Health declarations (required for certain outdoor activities). Additional notes for each category are disclosed on the respective product pages.

Article 7 · Prohibited Conduct

Users must not engage in any of the following conduct; otherwise, the merchant may suspend service and no refund will be issued by the Service: • Loud or disruptive behaviour affecting other guests; • Intoxication or any behaviour endangering the safety of others; • Disrespectful, harassing, or threatening conduct toward staff or other guests; • Photographing, recording, or livestreaming in violation of merchant rules; • Providing false identity information or impersonating another person; • Violating Japanese laws and regulations.

Article 8 · Personal Data Protection

The Company collects, uses, and stores users' personal data in accordance with the Japanese Personal Information Protection Act and the "Privacy Policy" published on this platform.

Article 9 · Disclaimers

With respect to disputes between users and merchants arising from product quality, personal injury, or loss of property, the Company shall not bear direct responsibility in principle, but shall use reasonable efforts to facilitate negotiation between the parties. Where negotiation fails, the matter shall be resolved through Japan's statutory channels. Losses caused by the user's failure to comply with these Terms, merchant rules, or notes disclosed on product pages shall be borne by the user. Where the Service cannot be provided due to force majeure (earthquakes, typhoons, fire, volcanic eruptions, mass flight delays, sudden merchant closures, governmental orders, etc.), the Company shall assist users in negotiating with the merchant for rescheduling or refund without liability. Where merchant unilateral actions (e.g., temporary closure, menu changes, shortened business hours) cause impact, the Company shall use reasonable efforts to coordinate but shall not bear final responsibility for the outcome.

Article 10 · Intellectual Property

All text, images, design elements, and trademarks contained in the Service are the intellectual property of the Company or their respective rightful owners. Copying, reproduction, or commercial use without prior written permission is prohibited.

Article 11 · Service Modifications and Suspension

The Company may modify or suspend all or part of the Service upon reasonable notice. If such modification affects an existing reservation, the Company will coordinate an alternative arrangement or issue a full refund.

Article 12 · Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The interpretation, validity, and performance of these Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan. All disputes arising in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court in the first instance.
